I need a plug in 120VAC device that will alert me over WIFI or Bluetooth when there is a change in amp draw to a sump pump. So when the pump turns on I will get a phone alert. Pump is plugged in an extension cord. Is there such a thing? What is it called? Thanks
I am doing a similar thing very reliably with an IKEA smart plug, GRILLPLATS. Wattage ranges or thresholds can trigger actions, and actions includes sending a notification. The smart plug is very quick in reporting wattage changes (unlike others I tried previously).
I am looking for a replacment for my Kasa energy measuring devices and these might work. Are they matter over WiFi or Thread? I can’t find a mention of either in the Ikea web page
