Dashclock (created by an Google empyee) support would be nice, it gives Android users the possibility to in a nice way see the status of whatever directly on the lockscreen. For example one should be able to pick data point presence which should show number of people present at home and in expanded mode ie pull lock screen down one should see details.

Nice. Give the code is available and SmartThings has an open API, someone should be able to pick this up and run with it.
Answering myself on this one, completely forgot about this app. Android so of course there already is a simple solution for apps that havent got support for Dashclock. Simply use Dashnotifier app and enable notification listener (4.3, otherwise accesibility servíce for 4.2).
