Constant offline notifications. Is this new?

I have the tuya water leak sensors that seem to work even when they register as offline. Which was fine, up until a few weeks ago where I’m constantly getting notifications that they are going offline.
Is this a new thing? Getting these types of notifications? I use the edge bridge monitor to monitor these type of notifications when devices go offline as I have more control over them ( as in not having my wife get the notifications ). I don’t have the water leak sensors set up to give me notifications when they go offline so I’m not sure where these messages are coming from.

I know there’s a setting within the iOS app to turn notifications off but won’t this turn off every single notification? I’m only wanting these offline messages to not pop up constantly. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

A few users have noticed. @Automated_House was the first to report it about 3 weeks ago.

Cool so not just me then. Surely you should be able to turn this off.

Same thing is happening with only one of my five Aqara leak sensors. (They aren’t using the Edge driver yet.)

I’m seeing the notifications with the latest Android update. But mine have all been legit.

My fiber internet is having interment issues. SmartThings app seems to notice that leak sensors are offline about 2 minutes after it sees that the hub has been disconnected.

For the Android app you can

  1. Select the Menu tab
  2. Tap Notifications
  3. Tap the more/three-dots menu
  4. Tap Notifications Settings

From there you can turn off notifications from Home Monitor or turn off notifications for individual devices.

iOS here. Unfortunately it doesn’t look quite the same.

Edit.
Hang on I found it. It is there.

Thanks.
