Consistency in SmartThings iOS app UI/UX

Hi, I just joined this community to leave a feedback after the latest app update on iOS, as one that loves versatility and simplicity SmartThings offers.

Could SmartThings team put more care on iOS app UI/UX please? After the latest update (June 2025), I’m seeing user interface got kind of messy.

  • One example I observed is unnecessary paddings under the header added in light bulb (IKEA) device page.
  • Another example is, I use Samsung robot vacuum. Whenever I enter and exit vacuum page, it offers slightly user experience (e.g. no swiping back/ no animation), as if I’m in a different app.

I landed on SmartThings over Apple Home because of too much complexity in Apple Home which requires hubs, bridges, etc… too many devices to do a simple setup. While a single SmartThings hubs can handle wide range of devices Zigbee, Matter, Thread, Z-Wave

This could be a very trivial request that is not worth the business values, but I believe this could help gain user trust and retention in the long term. I genuinely hope to see some improvements.

SmartThings App, Menu, Contact Us, Ask questions, Suggestion, choose devices, fill form, send.
