Change your browser settings to render it in dark mode. I tried it with Chrome on my Android, and it is indeed painful in dark mode.

I use the Discourse app where dark theme is not available. Other forums have it (e.g. Wyze, Plex, etc.). It’s way too bright when I open this particular forum in that app :slight_smile:

It’s an admin option on the discourse platform. Admins can set up multiple themes and then give users the individual choice. Here are the instructions:

Does discourse have a way to use the system wide setting from the mobile phone/browser?

Enable Dark Mode

Short Method for mobile and quick change:

  1. Click here - https://community.smartthings.com/my/preferences/interface
  2. Change Your Theme to dark
  3. Click Save

How to navigate to the interface page

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right corner and select your Username>Preferences

  2. Select Interface (at the bottom of the Account menu

  3. Under Theme, select the Dark theme and click Save

Dark Mode Update 5/12/2020

We have made some significant changes to the Dark Theme

  • Color Scheme aligns closer to Material Design Specs
  • New Theme Switcher - Let’s you change themes right from the main menu
  • More Readability enhancements
