Comcast Xfinity Home supports August Lock. Are we next?

Hey community,

this article caught my attention today: [Comcast Xfinity Home Now Works With August Smart Lock, Nest Learning Thermostat And More][1]

“Earlier this year, Comcast promised to support more home automation devices and now the company is making good on its word. The Nest Learning Thermostat, Chamberlain MyQ garage-door controller, August Smart Lock, or the Lutron Caseta wireless lighting controller are now among the newly-supported gadgets, manageable via the Xfinity Home app for Android or iOS.”

Does this mean an API has been developed that allows third party systems to work with the lock? I saw several devs saying in older posts there wasn’t a compatible API. What about now?

It’s being done through the Wi-Fi bridge for August, but it looks like it was a custom integration for now. Hopefully more details will come out soon .

Even if it’s with the Wi-fi bridge I will be happy.

I’m not thrilled with August’s touted “Auto-Unlock” feature not working AT ALL, EVER. But I figured ST would know when I arrive and unlock the door for me at that point.
