Classic app to control one device based on the energy usage of another?

I am looking for an app that will allow me to control another device based on the energy usage of a smart plug. Specifically I would like to turn a device on or off based on the energy dropping below a set amount. I have tried custom automation in the new app but it does not work.

I’m aware of Webcore but would prefer something already available if possible.

Thanks in advance for any help.

There is a smartapp template called Energy Saver. The description says “Turn things off if you’re using too much energy”

It’s a pretty simple app. It could be modified pretty easily to do what you want. If you feel comfortable doing a little coding.
