Cant connect 2 Dlink cameras - DCS-5222L

I’m pretty sure I have version A being the older one. I can find the camera but it wont accept the CORRECT password no matter how many times I try. Odd it doesn’t ask for the username being “Admin” just the pass I’m entering correctly.

Any clues on this one?
Thanks.

I was jus looking at this camera as my “works with Smartthings Samsung” doesnt seem to work … all in contrary to https://www.smartthings.com/works-with-smartthings/cameras-and-doorbells/samsung-smartcam-hd-pro-camera-snh-p6410bn which also states:

Benefits with SmartThings
By placing this Samsung SmartCam HD Pro connected camera in your home, you can check in from anywhere to see what’s happening when you’re away. View live video feeds, monitor your home, and automate event-based notifications and video clip recording.

interestingly the Smartcam app does provide all this capability - the wording however lets assume this would be a true benefit of integrating it with Smartthings which as we know is completely false information as apart from video (for the few where it indeed does) - nothings seems to work as the dth doesnt support any further events like motion from the camera itself …

but seeing it supported on one page https://support.smartthings.com/hc/en-us/articles/205956970-How-to-connect-D-Link-cameras and then this on another:
https://support.smartthings.com/hc/en-us/articles/205380804-Video-integration-with-Hub-v2-FAQ
D-Link cameras are part of SmartThings Labs and do not officially Work with SmartThings. You can connect the following D-Link models to your SmartThings home, but performance may vary and we will not be able to provide support or assistance: DCS-2132L, DCS-2310L, DCS-2330L, DCS-5222L, and DCS-5029L.

I guess no camera is actually fully supported

When you attempt to connect a DCS-5222L camera, whether it is for an existing camera or try to do a new one, the Password step fails. The following is the active log you can see in the graph.api.smartthings.com:

Basically you can see that it’s not logging any real attempt against the camera. Either the camera is not responding or ST isn’t actually sending the password. What is more interesting to me, is that it doesn’t ask you for the username, so they’re I assume using “admin” as the Uname.

Either way, this as a “support camera” is a very disappointing product. Here is the message in the logs btw when it discovers the camera:

d6e8e76a-a797-4c31-bdab-9a64cff3315e 9:05:52 PM: warn Camera is supported: modelName= DCS-5222L

Samsung, please review and provide an update.
