Bonjour mDNS/DNS-SD Device Types

Has anyone ran across any device types that are leveraging bonjour mDNS/DNS-SD? Went through the docs but it’s a little vague. Just trying to see an end to end implemented example.

I tried bonjour a while back for ObyThing Music and never got it working. I haven’t tried again recently, but haven’t heard about any updates either.

The docs talk about multicast-dns (bonjour in apple land) being supported in the future for lan discovery. I was wondering if the future were here yet? I’ve got code that publishes a service via bonjour but not upnp so I was hoping I’d be able to use that. Anyone know the status of it?

Bump. Could really use mdns discovery for a Speech capable Chromecast Audio setup. Is this still on the roadmap @tyler? I don’t want to waste my time if it isn’t.

I’d also like to be able to use mDNS to discover the Soma Connect bridge for Soma Smart Shades. Does anyone have mDNS discovery working or an ETA?
