Bloomsky Weather Station

…(though it could just be cluster/farm/whatever syncing interval or something like that) that stuff sort of concerns me.

How long was the turn-around from when you deleted it from your BloomSky account and added it back in? If right away, I can see that; it could simply be that the change hadn’t propagated to all servers yet, and perhaps it’s not fully changed until all hosts report the new content or something like that (not really my area. So, just surmising).

As for your predicament… is there any chance of attempting to get it set up at somebody else’s house that has a good WiFi setup and a completely different ISP from yours? Not a silver bullet, but if you could establish that it is working fine and connects and all that on an entirely, physically different (i.e. not just a different WiFi router at your house) network, at least you could feel fairly secure in counting the BloomSky unit itself out of the equation. Doesn’t get you where you want to be, but at least it’s one major (and necessary) piece of data acquisition out of the way. NOTE: for this, I would suggest removing it first from everything; BloomSky account, Weather Underground account, and everything about it from SmartThings before you begin a new setup run-thru.

Since that’s probably a bit drastic on a whim…

When you start the process (as if completely from scratch, like it’s an initial setup), are you doing it with the known light color and blink codes in mind?

This sentence is a link to the post where I listed the color and blink codes.

In that post, there is a 3-section list with what each of the colors and blink codes mean for each of the three lights (Power Light, WiFi Light, and Charging Light). It’s neither official nor exhaustive, but is extensive, and I am now convinced that knowing them (or at least having the list handy) at the time of doing a setup run-thru is crucial for success (not a guarantee, but certainly better odds than without the list).

If you follow their official instructions with those color and blink codes in mind, and you still can’t get it to work, try the ‘change of scenery’ routine I suggested above. If that also fails, then I’d think get official support (seems like they are very nice and helpful when they do communicate with us. I’ve had a number of pleasant conversations, and I’ve heard of others getting theirs replaced already.)
