backgroundColors changing on variable defined in preferences?

I was hoping someone would post this answer…

Device Tiles are limited to displaying information about one Attribute / Event Name. That is the limited extent of dynamic display currently.

Is it possible to change the properties of a standardTile based on the state value of another parameter dynamically? E.g. For a Thermostat control state “auto”, label:’${name}’, action:“switchMode”, nextState:"…", icon: “st.Home.home1” Now I want to change the color of the tile in state “auto” based on the value of the parameter thermostatOperatingMode. If I try to use state “auto”, label:’${name}’, action:“switchMode”, nextState:"…", icon: “st.Home.home1”, backgroundColor: (device.currentState(“thermostatOperatingState”) == “heating” ? “#E14902” : “#003CEC”) It says device is a “null”. Is it possible to access device states from within a Tile? If not any ideas on how one can update the tile based on the another state variable?

Looking to set a dynamic slider range

Hi there, I’m trying to configure a thermostat with a slider with a range that would change dynamically depending of the unit format (°C or °F). The thermostat has a range in Celsius of 3 to 30 and a range in Fahrenheit of 37 to 86. I tried the following code within the tiles definition but no luck so far, the resulting range is always to Fahrenheit one (37 to 86).
