I’m going to be moving soon, and I plan to use SmartThings along with Google Home at the new house. With the Scout security system, you can arm it using Google Home. Can I do the same thing with SmartThings?

The answer to your first question is pretty simple: yes you can, though last time I checked it requires a bit of a workaround.
Your second question has no right answer, unfortunately. Some people are satisfied with ST as a security system, many people are not. It depends on your needs and how seriously you take home security. There have been plenty of threads dedicated to this question.
