Aqara Smart Pet Feeder C1 Not Showing in SmartThings via Hub M3

Hi everyone,

I recently set up the Aqara Hub M3 and integrated it with SmartThings. After syncing my Aqara devices, I noticed that only my Aqara Temperature Sensors T1 and Vibration Sensor were successfully imported. However, my Aqara Smart Pet Feeder C1 is missing from SmartThings, even though it is listed as a compatible device on the SmartThings website.

Troubleshooting steps I’ve tried:

  1. Confirmed that the Pet Feeder is correctly paired with the M3 Hub in the Aqara app.
  2. Removed and re-added the Pet Feeder to the Aqara app, then re-synced SmartThings.
  3. Checked for firmware updates on the M3 Hub and the SmartThings integration.
  4. Restarted both the Hub M3 and the SmartThings app to refresh the device list.
  5. Manually tried to add the device in SmartThings under Aqara, but it does not appear.

Is there any known issue with the Aqara Smart Pet Feeder C1 not being detected in SmartThings via the M3 Hub? Could this be a limitation of the Aqara API or something related to the regional settings?

Any insights or solutions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You can connect the feeder directly to a SmartThings hub.

Aqara website does not list SmartThings as compatible, so I guess cloud integration is not available: Smart Pet Feeder C1 - Aqara

I don’t know if it exposes the device through Matter though, try adding the Aqara hub via Matter and see what happens.

Edit: So, since it’s Zigbee you probably have to add it directly to SmartThings like @Andreas_Roedl suggested, but you’ll have to remove it from the M3 in that case and it won’t be available in the Aqara app.

It has its own driver. GitHub is down at the moment, but it’s easy to find.

Yeah, it’s an official integration, was already discussed here

BTW, Aqara recently released a kind of virtual devices for Matter so it can expose actions and sensors to other platforms even if the actual device is not exposed. I’m not recommending it, but just pointing out an alternative in case you don’t want to remove it from the M3 and the Aqara app for whatever reason.

I just have the hub that comes inside the NeoQLED QN85B TV and says I need to add a Dongle to be able to detect Zigbee devices.
I live in Argentina, and it is difficult to get here several ecosystem devices.
Thank you!

Then you can’t integrate the feeder as a device in SmartThings, but you can expose some individual actions or events if that’s enough for your use case.
