Great question! The base version has lighter materials and a plastic interior thumbturn. The Deluxe Kit has a heavier upgraded Zinc alloy exterior, metal thumbturn, and overall a more premium feel. Plus a 2nd battery is included vs. just 1 in the base version pack.
But core smart home features are identical in both so the Deluxe Kit is more of a hardware upgrade, plus the extra battery.
I’m curious as to how digital keys are shared directly through the Samsung Wallet app as well as when UWB will be released. It was said to be April 2026 in the footnotes for Samsung Digital Home Key.
Does this work with smart guest lock access? I have nurses for special needs child and everyone has a code. My other question can anyone who is given access be able to have the lock open similiar to how the new achlage with Uwb will work?
What I’ve seen from the Matter locks that have been introduced recently is that code management has moved from the SLGA smartapp to the device itself. Two new capabilities have been introduced to replace the old lockCodes capability, namely:
So, per the Matter spec, a lock can have multiple users and multiple credential types. The entry of the values for those capabilities has moved to the device card (detail) tab of the device.
The Aqara does support UWB allowing for proximity unlocking/locking.
Not if the lock supports the new capabilities. This was mentioned last year in a topic on the Aqara U200 Lock with a reference to PR for the Matter lock driver:

I didn’t know that the s l g a will be sunsetting at the end of this year. I have nursing for my child.So the most important thing is, by having was those lock codes, I can set time frames, and it makes it easy for me to track everybody when they come in, etc. I just hope that I have that ability with the matter to do the same thing. Also, my lock is z wave, and i’m trying to move away from all the z wave i have, and this is one that should be easy to do…i hope.
SLGA doesn’t support scheduled lock codes currently so I’m not sure what you mean by “time frames”. Matter does support access schedules for credentials so as long as a lock implements that capability, you could get date/time bounded credentials which is something not available in ST today.
SLGA is unlikely to be sunset for all devices since that would require reworking all the existing Z-Wave and Zigbee drivers. I suspect the comment in the PR is specific to Matter locks.
As you’ll see here NFC unlocking is supported and UWB should be supported as well, but it has yet to be implemented. April 2026 was when it was meant to begin, based on the footnotes from Samsung, and Aqara’s own page states Q2 2026 for Samsung devices.
Hopefully soon, but what I’m not sure about is who’s responsibility it is. Anytime I’ve spoke to Samsung support they’ve stated Aqara has to enable it via a firmware update and anytime I’ve spoken to Aqara they’ve stated they’re already on Aliro 1.0 therefore it’s Samsung’s responsibility.
