The list of apps on my IDE page is longer than the list on my phone. The IDE page includes the Hello Home voice apps but I do not see any similar on my Galaxy S3 android. Are their differences between the iPhone and Android app?

Yes there are differences between the two, and eventually the Android version will be the same. The current Android beta looks like iOS, and those apps you see for the most part are used, although I suspect some are still under construction.
