Ambient lighting controls for Bespoke 6.3 Smart Slide-In Induction Range with Ambient Edge Lighting & Air Sous Vide

I was able to use ambient lighting for about 2 days, then it just disappeared. I removed range, removed the app then downloaded again and added the range. But this is all I see now??

Did you find the solution I have the same problem even the technical support don’t know what to do..

no, unfortunately. When talking to customer service, they escalate the case and then it’s “answered” in an email and essentially the case is closed. So I’ve opened the case 4 times so far. They said maybe the feature isn’t available…. yes it is- you literally advertise it (plus in my case, it worked perfectly with the first stove I had, but it was scratched so I had it replaced). Then they said my internet must be unstable…. I asked to speak to someone else that actually knew what the app is supposed to do. I got a call and text from someone that never answers. So I’ll be opening another case today. The range works fine, the oven is controlled with the app and smart control but the range, particularly the ambient lighting, isn’t shown on the app anymore.

Here on this forum, is there the developers that can help us.. for sure it’s a problem and other people will have it too..

The only place I see the bouton is in the “virtual home” it doesn’t make sence.. they need to fix that…

Tagging @nayelyz to see if she can redirect this to the correct team.

If you can help us @nayelyz that will be really helpful. We use to have the option but, not anymore.. :face_exhaling: please help us haha

Hi it’s my first time I write here. My English is not very good so I’m sorry.

I have a Samsung Induction range(oven) name it as you want haha.

I have ambient light on it.

First time I downloaded the SmartThings app, I was able to control the ambient light (3 color) select on/off without problems..

Now, I can’t, the option is no longer there in the main screen. I only have the temperature control, timer for food but not what I want.

I did go Chek other place in the app, I found what I want but I’m the “virtual home”. The thing is, I can’t have access.. because it’s like a “demo” of what I can do in the “real” SmartThings..

Is there a way I can control the ambiant light back? I can but from the range not from the app.. I was able when I got the fourniture.

Thanks a lot for helping me.

I csn out only one picture, so I will show you my main screen of what I have access to. In the virtual home even if I press anything.. nothing happen..

Hi, @Lacombe_Manuel. Welcome to the SmartThings Community!

I’m curious about this option you mentioned, could you share a screenshot of how it looks, please?

Since we’re not part of Customer Support from Samsung or SmartThings, we don’t have information on where these options should appear, so, it would be great if you shared the steps you follow to access them.

For example, I see the picture @brandilangevin shared at the top and also yours seems to be from the same view but both have different options, so, did it use to be an option in that view (which is the detail view), meaning you only entered the device and the option was there, or did you have to go to “settings”?

This would give us a better idea on where the issue might be.

Hi!! Thanks for answering this I really appreciate. I will try my best to explain it

First time I used the fonction, it was in here under “12 hours energy saving” (first picture) in the main page, where is my device

we can see how it was in the demo section by going to : Menu>virtual home>device>range or oven.

(Third,second and first picture )

Thanks a lot, sorry for all the replies I can’t put more than 1 pictures at the time

@nayelyz I wish I had taken a screenshot of the app when it worked. Samsung acts like it was never a feature. But I was able to control the ambient edge lighting with the range section, cooktop… then it showed ambient lighting and I could select 1 of 3 colors and I could select whether they stayed on all the time or worked with the oven while using. Its so annoying that this super cool feature is now “not available”

There is the other picture missing for @nayelyz

Thanks for the info, @Lacombe_Manuel and @brandilangevin

Can you open support access to your account, please? I’d like to check some details of the device’s configuration

1. Confirm the email account registered in the forum is the same one you use for SmartThings. If not, please share it with me over DM

2. Enable support access to your account:

1. Go to the SmartThings Web (my.smartthings.com)

2. Log in to your Samsung Account

3. Select Menu (â‹®) and choose Settings

4. Toggle on Account Data Access

5. Select the time period and confirm - In this step, please select “Until turned off”, once the team finishes, we’ll let you know so you can disable it again.

See more information about this access here: https://support.smartthings.com/hc/en-us/articles/36170233944852-Enabling-Account-Data-Access-for-Support

Hi, I confirm my email address is the same and that I turn on everything. Thanks a lot

yes, email is the same and I’ve allowed access. Thank you-

Hi, @brandilangevin, @Lacombe_Manuel

I checked the devices in your accounts, and I don’t see any capability that would match that functionality.

I asked some teammates who have more experience in the platform, and they mentioned:

  • That function could be part of the special plug-in that some Samsung appliances use, and was removed for some reason. Both devices use the same device presentation:
    • DA-KS-RANGE-0102X
    • Samsung Electronics

These are values that you can see through the SmartThings API or the Advanced Users app.

  • There was a change in the device profile used by the devices

In both cases, we have no visibility into why this is happening and when it was modified. The device manufacturer is who can make those changes. So, we suggest you keep contacting Samsung’s Customer Support and ask them to escalate this to know if this was intended or accidental.

We apologize for not being able to help further but Customer Support has a different system to escalate issues that should get to the proper team.

Thanks a lot I will send a ticket to the customer service with this reply to know if they can do something.

Again, thanks a lot for that.

Thank you.

I use to be able to control the lights on mine as well since the last update they have taken the feature away. Bring it back.
