I would like to be able to verbally command w/Echo/Dot a Legrand Adorne Tru-Universal dimmer to turn on for set amounts of time (eg. 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 minutes, and also to command it to turn on at a particular time for an amount of time. So far I can turn it on and off (and change dimming level) only in real time with voice command. If not possible, I would settle for a command that turns off dimmer after a certain amount of time (after turning on dimmer with separate command). Help would be appreciated. Thank you.
There are a few ways to do this, but each require some SmartApps…The best way without using voice but based on a schedule is WebCore. To activate it via voice and then interact with WebCore to then set a schedule to turn it off I recommend my app, Ask Alexa. There is even a way to voice activate it then set a macro to deactivate it within a certain amount of time.
The installation of the app is a bear, but once you get through it the app (along with WebCore) is one of the most powerful application within SmartThings (other’s words…but also mine)
