Hi everyone, months of joyful works in this project to build a fully interactive 3D interface for SmartThings system. And now it’s become more mature, as well as I found there are people here interested in this idea too, so I decided to share it to the community. The first stable version planed to be roll outed by this September, 2020. So make sure to visit our ThingsTwin Register Form for subscribing to early-bird-list and to receive invitation letter when the app is ready!
What is It?
A mobile app which integrate directly with your SmartThings system, the difference is your home is modeled in 3D space, so you can get immediately idea about where device are, super easy to use, especially for your children or for elder people. There is no need for searching through long list 2D panel to find out where the device in before you can control it.
What it’s For?
- Run on your phone as a quick panel for viewing and control your devices.
- Run on mounted tablet as a 3D dashboard of your homes (also bring more joyful and fancy value)
Note: I’m not intended to make this app replacement for SmartThings app, but instead it’s can be used as a companion one to enrich your experience with SmartThings in daily usage. So tor tasks which you just need to a few times like adding new device, it’s should be done in SmartThings app. For tasks which you are likely do use it daily like control your device, monitor your home state,… I created this app for these type of activities.
It’s currently supported for Android platform only.
For iOS user, I will add support for this in near future, if there are demand for that.
Supported Integration (2020/06/29)
- 2D/3D Mode
- Lights (with real lighting effect on 3D model)
- Locks (coming soon)
- Sensor (coming soon)
- Execute Scenes (coming soon)
- More device type will be added soon

To put it in right place in your house, simply just drag and drop it to correct place. After you put it in place, you can also change it position by holding long press and drag it to where ever you want, and any floor it should be in. This for the case you have moved your light to another room, for example.
A little bit more about navigation, you can also zoom in (demo), zoom out (demo), navigating through your house to have best view angle of your house. You can switch between top-down view mode and rear-view mode, too (by click on “3D” button on top right corner.
