Exclude sure is convenient, but it doesn’t always work. Their support told me delete is fine as well. Also I’ve done it this way a ton of times and it works fine. The only reason I do, and not go through exclude, is because it takes forever to go to the exclude function in the phone app…
So you’re saying it doesn’t remove the controller ID… when it rejoins, what happens, it just writes over it?
Also, JD, your knowledge of this stuff is amazing… I’m sure you’ve heard it plenty, but is there any formal training or books or whatever you’d recommend. I’m really just getting into it… I used to do home automation back in the day (2001) with HAI and Crestron lighting, but it was largely a different ballgame then. I didn’t have to program anything like this.
