@nayelyz Yet again I seem to have completely lost control of my Zigbee devices on my primary hub (it is currently about 20:40Z+1 and I’ve dumped the logs though I’ve no idea when it started). Nothing seems to be getting in or out and I have no idea why. Matter devices are working fine at the moment. I shall try a hub reboot as that sometimes helps, though as you may be aware Matter devices often take a while to recover from reboots.
Update: All my Zigbee routing on the hub now uses Sonoff ZBMicro USB smart plugs and I just got some joy from power cycling one of them (Bedroom Strip Light) rather than rebooting, so perhaps I should be turning my best Paddington Bear stare onto that, or those, but it will be annoying as they’ve been absolutely fantastic up till now, often routing fourteen devices.
Hi, @orangebucket
I see that you don’t have devices offline in your account, so, the restart on the Sonoff ZBMicro devices helped with the situation, right?
If they go back unresponsive or offline, please share the following:
Hub logs
Approximate timestamp
Mention which devices you tested to check unresponsiveness so we can grab their IDs.
The other issues we’ve been investigating show a “functional: false” on the Zigbee radio and don’t come back despite hub restarts and checking your hubs, none shows that message. It would be useful to know if during the period of devices not responding, yours have the same property.
All or most of my Zigbee devices show as online, and I’m receiving updates from them (temperature, humidity, etc.). However, the devices randomly drop offline and then come back online. When I try to control any of the devices—such as turning a switch on or off or locking/unlocking a door—I just get a message saying that a network error has occurred and to try again later. My Zigbee network is hardcoded to channel 25 and has been that way for years. This issue started immediately after the firmware update. @nayelyz also said that my radio shows functional false even though when I look it shows functional.
I also cannot control devices that are directly connected to the Station, such as a light switch about 5 feet away or a smart plug located directly underneath it. The app shows that they are directly connected, but I still get the same network error when I try to turn them on or off.
Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2 devices will receive a minor update to 58.12 to address some users not having access to all Thread 1.4 features. This version is just for the Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2 and will be fully released by the end of the day.
If you don’t currently see that feature on your hub I would definitely check back on it after you see your hub has updated, as I do suspect it will make it available to you.
I know the update to firmware 58.12 was for Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2, but should every hub that is updated to 58.xx get the Thread 1.4 update features. I ask as one of my built-in hub (Q990F Soundbar with Built-in Hub) just updated to 58.13 or the next version after the Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2 got and I don’t seem to have any of the Thread 1.4 features other then it says it now supports Thread version 1.4. I know I’m missing the NAT64 and Thread Unification for sure (the 2 features I was looking forward to) and I don’t know what other Thread 1.4 features I’m missing as I don’t know where to look for them, but suspect others. I was hoping to unify my Thread networks instead of having to use a Hub Group, but can’t since I’m missing this feature. My Zigbee version on my Q990F is still 6.1.1 also.
P.S.-My SmartThings Station is on firmware 58.10 and it seems to have all Thread 1.4 Features and it has Zigbee version 6.2.3.
