Aeon Minimote Buttons Doesn't Show Buttons (January 26, 2018)

This is an officially supported device, and they have been making changes to the official device type handler since late December, and it seems like every change fixes one problem and creates a new one. So there have been multiple trouble reports on the minimotes all month long.

Definitely report it to support, and they may have a fix for you right away.

Aeotec Minimotes stopped working

Somewhere around the 1st of the month the Aeotec mini motes V1 stopped working. I have 3 active units and they all stopped. Last night I tried to exclude and rediscover one of the devices I was able to exclude the device but Smartthings will not discover this as a device any more. It seems to rejoin to the hub but is no discovered as a device. Anyone else seeing the same issue. Smartthings stability has fallen off a cliff in the past two weeks.

Minimote Headache

I recently purchased a Aeon Minimote to add to my system, and well it has been a big headache. I can easily get the Minimote to add to the system, and I have tried using the ST handler and the Kyse’s one. Both handlers show that they are triggering button presses and holds, but they are not triggering any routines (For some reason the Kyse one does not show any option to add hold when using apps like smart lights.) or smart apps like Smart Lights. I know this remote has been mentioned before, but the workarounds do not seem to work. Is their any newer info on this to getting it to work. I would love to have this work as Local too, but right now just having it work would be nice. Any new feedback to this remote, and newer better device handlers would be welcome. Oh and for any progr…
