Aeon 6 Multi Sensor or other alternative w/humidity S?

I should also say there are a bunch of inexpensive motion sensors and contact sensors which also have temperature and some have humidity, but they’re not very accurate.

Since this is for a medical purpose, I guess the first question is just how accurate does it have to be.

Accurate Temp/Humidity Sensor?

So far I have had little success obtaining the above. So far I have tried the Aeon Multisensor and (2) Everspring ST814. Each device was tested using 32%, 43% and 75% calibration tests along side (4) Caliber IV gauges. The latter were pretty much dead on within each test. The Aeon multi-sensor is off (low) at least 20% (i.e. Known humidity=75%, Aeon=60%) while both the ST814s are off (high) anywhere from 10 to 15%. The latter get better reading at low humidity (<40%). So… Anyone know of a gauge that will give better results than these???

I know there are some community members who want to very precise humidity measurements and they are using the Kumo wireless tags for that purpose. There is an integration with smart things or they have their own IFT TT channel and you can get indirect integration that way.

You do have to buy one of their ethernet bridges ($60) and then each tag cost about $30. But they are much more precise than most of the home automation devices available that work with SmartThings.

Wireless Sensor Tags Integration

I have the first pass of an integration ready for Wireless Sensor Tags. There is a service manager SmartApp that allows you to log into your Wireless Sensor Tags account and reads what tags you have registered. You can then choose which tags to connect to SmartThings. The main support so far is for the Wireless Motion Sensor Tags (temperature, humidity, motion, and open/close plus more). The moisture / water sensor should also work, but I didn’t have one to test. The other types of tags should mostly work as well, since their system reports data consistently from the different tag types.
