Hi guys I purchased a adt Samsung smartthing home security but didn’t realize there was a region lock on updating and activating the hub is there any help around this…By the way I reside in the Caribbean
No, the hubs are region locked because certain radios (ZWave) are region specific and should not be used outside of the region they are designed to operate in… Even if you could you would eventually have a horrible experience with incompatible end devices (because they need to work with your countrys frequencies too…)
Some people say hey its OK I’m not using ZWave anyway… But overlook the radio is still there and on in a frequency range not approved by your country’s radio authority.
So basically I screwed
