Adding custom Things - e.g. foscam

Ah, this seems to be a dupe question:

How do I add a custom device?

I have added the Honeywell Total Comfort API thermostat code to MyDevice Types in the developer menu and published it, but I cannot find the device in the mobile app. How do I get it to show up so I can add the device?

Looks like I have to download the developer IDE and from there I can add local Things
