A 3D Printed Network Connected Lock

I’m working on a 3D printed mechanism that will be able to turn the key or thumb turn of an ordinary door lock using a servo motor and controlled by an Arduino with ST shield.
Today I published the first prototype:

The device type is still in an early stage. The prototype currently works with the Shield On/Off demo device type.

I’ll update about any progress.

Neat concept. I’m just curious. Did you build the gear or did you use some other tool?

Thank you, Jamie.
I designed and built the mechanism. The design is based on previous versions of the worm gear mechanism, published by other Thingivers users.

This is a little off topic but I’m working on building a 3D printed Mood Cube. If you’re interested you can follow along here

Thank you. I’ll follow.
