If you have two Smartthings Hub V3 in the same locations, can they both be used as Matter controllers?.
I ask this question because on one hub it lets me associate devices Matter on the other no, the error 39-309 always comes up.
Only one hub is needed to act as the Matter controller
Hi, @GiacomoF
I’m checking this with the engineering team.
Have you been able to use this Hub (of the error 39-309) as a Matter controller in the past or is it the first time you have tried to use it as such?
Update:
Also, can you provide the following, please?
- Enable support access to your account
a. Confirm the email account registered in the forum is the same one you use for SmartThings. If not, please share it with me over DM
b. Enable support access to your account:
- Go to the SmartThings Web (my.smartthings.com)
- Log in to your Samsung Account
- Select Menu (â‹®) and choose Settings
- Toggle on Account Data Access
- Select the time period and confirm - In this step, please select “Until turned off”, once the team finishes, we’ll let you know so you can disable it again.
- Replicate the issue by trying to onboard a Matter device and after getting the error, send the Hub logs by following these instructions:
- In the Advanced Users app, enter the “Hubs” section
- Enter the corresponding Hub and click on “Dump Hub logs”
- Confirm the process by clicking on “Dump Hub logs” again in the pop-up.
- You’ll get a green box at the top confirming the Hub logs were requested.
This is for the team to look at the events around this process.
Thanks for the support, I generated the Log.
It’s the first time I’ve used it as a Matter controller.
Yes, but why can’t I decide which one to use?
when you onboard a Matter device the app should be asking you which hub you want to use.
Ok, but if I decide Smartthings Hub 1 doesn’t work, before selecting the network, it always gives me the error 39-309. Works only on Smartthings Hub 2.
