2 Hubs 1 Mobile App

If you add 2 hubs (2 “locations”) into 1 App, can a routine interact with both hubs?

Unfortunately, no.

There is a way to do it with two webcore Pistons, but you have to set up virtual proxies for all the devices and it all gets pretty complicated. And it adds additional lag.

If you haven’t heard of web core before, it is a community – created rules engine for SmartThings which is very powerful. Setup can be quite complicated, but there are many community members who will be glad to help you if you choose to go that route.

There is further discussion of this method and a couple of other methods for coordinating multiple locations in the how to article on automating an outbuilding in the community – created wiki.

So the short answer is that you can’t do it with any of the official features. There are some unofficial ways to coordinate events at two locations, but they aren’t very easy and they do create some additional delays.
