Switches vs dimmers and their associated smartapps - why are some SmartApps missing?

I’m a bit confused. I was going through adding a switch or dimmer in the app. I was browsing to see what’s available. I see two evolve switches, one of which is a dimmer. I took a look at the top apps listed for the devices. The LSM-15 switch has many more apps listed than LSM-AS dimmer. I’m really confused. The dimmer is basically a switch with an extra feature. Why wouldn’t it be able to do everything you can do with the LSM-15?

Am I missing something here?
